Burkesville man arrested after two found dead of stab wounds

Kenneth Spears, 38, and Timmy Medlin, 45, prounounced dead a the scene by the Cumberland County Coroner. KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, continuing investigation of incident

A Burkesville man, Carl Spears, 57, 161 Red Banks Road, Burkesville, Kentucky has been arrested and charged with one count of murder, follwing an investigation by Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY.

The Kentucky State Police were notified through Cumberland County dispatch at 10:00pmCST, Wednesday, January 14, 2009,, of a possible homicide at 3951 Judio Road, Burkesville, KY.



Upon arrival at the scene, two individuals were observed inside the residence and appeared to be unresponsive. The investigation revealed that Kenneth Spears, age 38 of 3951 Judio road, Burkesville, Ky and Timmy Medlin, age 45 of 1889 Little Renox road, Burkesville, Ky had been stabbed multiple times.

Both Spears and Medlin were pronounced dead at the scene by the Cumberland County coroner. Carl Spears, age 57 of 161 Red Banks road, Burkesville, Ky was arrested and charged with one count of murder.

Detective Mike Dubree is continuing the investigation. More details will be released when available.
