Obituary: Pauline Lambirth Coleman, 94

She was a member of one of Metcalfe County's most respected families. Mrs. Coleman is remembered a leading Edmonton drygoods merchant for many years. She was a member of the Edmonton Methodist Church

Pauline Lambirth Coleman, 94, of Edmonton, passed away Monday, January 12, 2009, at TJ Samson Community Hospital, in Glasgow, KY.

Visitation and funeral services will be at Butler Funeral Home, Edmonton, KY, on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pmCT with funeral services to follow immediately at 1:00pmCT. Burial will be in Edmonton Cemetery.



She was a lifelong resident of Metcalfe County, a business owner. She was well known through South Central Kentucky as the proprietor of Edmonton Department Store in downtown Edmonton for many years. Sh was a loyal member of the Edmonton United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curt Coleman, and her son, Jim C. Coleman.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her granddaughters: Heather Coleman, Holly (Coleman) Boling, and Heidi Coleman

  • Great-grandsons: Coleman Boling and Cabot Boling

  • Daughter-in-law: Connie Coleman

  • A niece: Carol Ann McMurtrey

  • A nephew: Tom Lambirth
