Looking Ahead 2009: Priorities should be what we need, not what we want Wet or dry is petty concern, writer says. With Columbia's assests, it could become as big or bigger than Glasgow, or may, Bowling Green, he says. Response to Thinks even a moist law would be an improvement To ColumbiaMagazinecom: Instead of worry about whether or not Adair County should be wet or dry, I believe we should concern ourselves with the economic development of our city/town. Getting industries that will create jobs (despite the correct US economic crisis), keep revenue inside our community, and possibly keep individuals and our children from having to leave this area in search of jobs. Worry about Adair County being wet or dry is kind of a petty concern when there are more important things our community needs. This county has so much potential, we have the new bypass, I-66 corridor, heartland expressway, new Wal-Mart, just think of what Adair County could become. Could we become as big or bigger than Glasgow, or who knows, maybe Bowling Green. Let's get our priorities of what we need first, before the things we would like. s/Andrew M.
