Several closings on Martin Luther King Day, Jan. 19, 2009 Monday, January 19, 2009, the third Monday in January this year, is Martin Luther King Day, a Federal Holiday. U.S. Post offices, and Federal Offices are closed that day, and there is No school in the Adair County School District. The Adair County Public Library is closed and there is no Bookmobile run on MLK day.
