Looking ahead: A bike trail should be built around Columbia

About: Looking back/Looking ahead

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

After several days pondering about looking ahead, I came up with another idea: A bike trail around the city!

A place which the entire family can enjoy without the threat of traffic. This could also be used for walking, and jogging.

This may help to get people out exercising and enjoying the great out doors again. When we lived in Troy, Ohio we had a bike trail around the city.

Our neighbors and I put seats on the backs of our bikes for our little ones and we enjoyed the outings very much.

Now some of us are too old to ride bikes, or so we think. But it would certainly be a fun and healthy sport for the younger folks and kids. I hope others will bring fresh ideas to this issue and in the end Columbia will have something will be enjoyed by all.

Thanks for the space.

s/Alice Wheeler
