Obituary: Christine Taylor, 90

Mrs. Taylor was a member of a respected Adair County family

Christine Taylor, 90, Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at 8:40pmCt at the Campbellsville Retirement Home.

The funeral service will be Saturday, January 3, 2009, at 1:00pmCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, with Bro. Lewis Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation is after 4:00pmCT, Friday, January 2, 2009, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY.



She was a daughter of the late Gideon and Elizabeth Moss Coffey, the widow of Osborne Taylor, and a member of Plum Point Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Needom and O'Neal Coffey.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Wendell Taylor, Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Judy Wise, Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister: Elveda Bryant, Glasgow, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Wes Taylor and Lynn Bradshaw, both of Columbia, KY; Daphne Judd, Greensburg, KY; and Jaime Gilpin, Campbellsville, KY

  • And seven great grandchildren
