Obituary: Katherine Garrett, 73

She was a member of a respected NE Adair County family

Katherine Garrett, 73, Morgantown, KY, died Friday, December 5, 2008, at 3:32amCT at Morgantown Care & Rehab.

The funeral service will be Monday, December 8, 2008, at 2:00pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with burial in Bearwallow Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00pmCT, Monday, December 8, 2008, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY.



A native of Adair County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Beerch Burton Feese Hadley.

She was preceded in death by her brother and sister, James Hadley and Darlene Bolin, and byby six half sisters, Mayme Hadley Shepherd, Edith Hadley Holt, Dorothy Hadley Feese, Audrey Hadley, Lettie Johnson, and Mattie Martin; and by six half brothers, Calvin Hadley, Alvin Hadley, Willard Hadley, Scott Hadley, Avery Hadley



She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter, Elaine Ketelhut, Detroit, MI

  • One son: Ronnie Dean Kilby, Michigan

  • Two half-brothers: Willie Matt Feese, Columbia, KY, and Hubert Hadley, Columbus, IN

  • A half-sister: Callie Davis, Campbellsville, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Chastity, Heather, and Olivia Upton, Erica Ketelhut, and John Kilby
  • Four great-grandchildren: Shane Upton, Brooklyn Hall, Joseph Upton, and Adylina Jackson
