Metcalfe school bus, pickup collision injures 6 students 26 students on board. All six treated and released at TJ Samson By William Gregory, KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY An injury collision occurred on Thursday, December 4, 2008, at 3:46pmCT on Ratliff Mitchell Rd at the intersection of Savoyard Park Rd and KY 314 in Metcalfe County. A school bus operated by 70 year old Herman Yates of Horse Cave was attempting to cross at the intersection and pulled into the path of a 1997 Ford Ranger pickup operated by Jeffery E. Childress, age 20, of Glasgow, KY. The Ford Ranger struck the school bus in the passenger side front end. There were 26 total passengers on the bus and six were treated and released at TJ Samson Hospital. In addition to the two operators the following students were treated and released:
