Columbia Police make alcohol sale arrest on Parrott Avenue The Columbia Police Department arrested an Adair County man, Douglas Dix, 55, after a CPD officer reports observing him make an alcoholic beverage sale from a location on Parrott Avenue, Columbia, KY. The incident took place on Wednesday night, December 3, 2008, at around 7:05pmCT. Dix was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on a charge alleging the illegal sale of alcohol in a dry territory, 1st offense, by Columbia Police Department Police Officers Jr. Murphy and Brad Scholl.
