Obituary: JoAnn Y. Phipps, 46

Mrs. Phipps was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was a homemaker

JoAnn Y. Phipps, 46, 11001 Fairplay Road, Columbia, KY, (the Fairplay Community) passed away Tuesday, 2, 2008, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY, after a long illness.

A memorial service will be Friday, December 5, 2008, at 1:00pmCT/2:00pmET, at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 9600 Campbellsville Road, Campbellsville, KY, with Rev. Don Watson the officiating clergy. The family will receive friends at the church after 12:00noonCT/1:00pmET Friday, at Asbury United Methodist Church. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born April 5, 1962, the daughter of, John H. and Gloria Babbit Yarnall of Orlando, FL.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her husand, Joe Phipps of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Robert John Phipps, Hawaii; and Daniel Joseph Phipps, Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Samantha Jo Phipps, Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: John H. Yarnall, Jr., Columbia, KY; and Joseph Yarnell, Clayton, GA

  • Two sisters: Sara O'Kane, Dalton, GA; and Donna J. Dawkins, Leesburg, FL

  • And by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
< BR>The family has chosen cremation.

Expressions of symathy may take the form of a donation the the JoAnn Phipps Famiy for medical and funeral expenses and may be left at the church or given to the family.
