CPD investigates another accident at N.61 and bypass The Columbia Police Department responded to an injury accident at the intersection of the Columbia Bypass and North 61 on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at approximately 4:09pmCT. The accident occurred when a 2003 Mitsubishi Elcipse being operated by Misty Curry, 21, Columbia, KY, was traveling east and failed to stop at a stop sign. Her vehicle strck a 2008 Chevy Impala being operated by Paul Whittle, 42, Jamestown, who was traveling north on the Columbia Western Bypass.Whittle was transported to Westlake Regional Hospital by Adair County EMS to check for possible injuries.
