Obituary: Bernard Odell Hurt, 79, Korean Conflict veteran

Mr. Hurt was a respected member of the Breeding, a Korean Conflict veteran, and life-long farmer.

Bernard Odell Hurt, 79, Breeding, KY, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at 7:00am, at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY, after an illness.

The funeral service will be Friday, November 21, 2008, at 1:00pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Larry Wisdom officiating. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Thursday, November 20, 2008, at the funeral home.


He was the son of the late Duel and Dora Patton Hurt, a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a life-long farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Brummett Hurt, in 1991.

He is survived by the following:
  • His son: Otha Dale Hurt and his fiance, Becky Cambron, of Breeding, KY

  • One sister: Webba Wilson, Breeding

  • And several other relatives and friends
He was also presided in death by a sister, Kizzie Fudge

Burial will be in Fudge Cemetery in Breeding, KY.
