Edmonton-MC Chamber to pick Jim C. Coleman award winner

By Gaye Shaw, Executive Director, E-MC Chamber of Commerce

The recipient of the 14th Annual Jim C. Coleman Community Service Award will be selected by those in attendance at the November 18, 2008 Edmonton-Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce meeting.

The meeting will be held at 5:30pmCT in the Chamber Meeting Room. This is normally the most attended meeting of the entire year. This is one election in which every vote is very important and does make a huge difference.

For the last several years, there has only been one vote difference between who was chosen as winner and who came in second and third. Remember if one does not attend to cast one's vote, one has no right to complain about the choice!

This year's decision will be very difficult as there are nine excellent nominees submitted by nineteen different people. All chamber members are encouraged to attend this very important meeting and be a part of this selection. If one submitted a nominee, one should certainly be attendance to cast your vote for that person!

The Board of Directors will submit a ballot for 2009 officers and board member. Edmonton Cee Bee Foods will provide holiday refreshments for all in attendance.
