By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director For the fifth time this season, the Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer team sits atop the NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Poll, released today, Sunday, November 16, 2008, by the NAIA. The Blue Raiders received 529 points, including all 19 first place votes, in the final poll of the season. Lindsey Wilson is 17-1-1 after winning the Mid-South Conference Tournament on Thursday and the conference's automatic bid into the national tournament. Lindsey Wilson will learn its first round opponent later today as the NAIA Men's Soccer National Tournament bracket will be released. No. 2 Notre Dame (Ohio) College received 509 points to move up one spot in this week's poll. Hannibal-LaGrange (MO) College (492 points), Oklahoma City University (475) and Azusa Pacific (CA) University and Bellevue (NE) University -- who each finishes with 453 points -- round out the top five. The Blue Raiders enter the national tournament on an eight-game winning streak and a 14-game unbeaten streak. The only blemishes on the Lindsey Wilson record this season is a 1-0 overtime lost to Montreat (NC) College on September 13, 2008, and a 0-0 double overtime tie to University of the Cumberlands (KY) on October14, 2008.
