ACHS Football falls to Union County in playoffs to end great season

Great ACHS effort after tiring 200 mile trip, cold, wet field; wonderful Adair County fan support

By Cathy Moss

Adair County Football season came to an end Friday, November 14, 2008 as they traveled to Union County to play in the playoffs for the first time in four years. The Indians finished the regular season with a record of 4-5.

Congratulations to the players and coaches on a great season. Special thanks to the Seniors for all their hard work on the field, they gave it their best, on a rainy field, 200 miles from home. The score, 20-0 doesn't tell the story of heart and effort this great Adair County team showed.

The future of Adair County High School is bright, not only because of the talent and the leadership of Coach Eric Graves, but also because of the best football fans to be found. Fans estimated at over 100 made the 200 mile trip to Morganfield. ACHS fans outnumbered the hometown crowd, and was more vocal.

Most were back home in Adair County after 2:00amCT, this morning, Saturday, November 16, 2008.Looking forward to next season.

Go Indians!
