LWC Homecoming Parade: Russell Co. High NROTC

The Color Guard of the Russell County High School Naval ROTC marches up Jamestown Hill in the Lindsey Wilson 2008 Homecoming Parade. The parade started at 10:00amCT this morning with a route down Lindsey Hill, up Campbellsville ST, around the Square, up Jamestown Hill, then across Miller Avenue to return to the LWC Campus.

LWC ALUMNA ALTA GARNETT of the CLASS of 1929 was the grand marshal of the Saturday morning parade. She was driven by Associate Vice President of Development Kevin A. Thompson. Mrs. Garnett celebrated her 100th Birthday Celebration on Sunday, September 28, 2008, at the Roberta Cranmer Dining Center, Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY.

Driving like a pro, Sammy Baker piloted his farm tractor up Jamestown Hill in the LWC Homecoming Parade on Saturday, November 8, 2008. With him is dad Timmy Baker. Sammy really enjoys working with and showing off his antique tractors. This tractor is a 1955 Ferguson TO35. The grey and green color was only made two years, 1955 and 1956.
