Obituary: Geneva Gilpin, 68, former merchant Mrs. Gilpin was a respected former merchant who operated Gilpin's Grocery. She was an employee of Summit Manor Health and Rehab Geneva Gilpin, 68, Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at her home. The funeral service is Sunday, November 9, 2008, at 2:00pm, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Allen Durrett the officiating clergy. A native of Hardin County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Henry Thomas and Mamie Ellen Westbrook Nugent, a member of Bethany Baptist Church, and a former merchant. She operated Gilpin's Grocery for many years and was an employee of Summit Manor Health and Rehab. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Gilpin; by a son, Kennth Ray Howard; by a brother, James Henry Nugent; and by two sisters, Marjorie Koen and Ruby Cook. She is survived by the following:
