Obituary: Deloris Edna Gaskin, 55

She was a member of a respected Adair County Family, and attended Rowena Church and Higher Praise Church. She was employed at Spectrum Care Academy in Columbia, KY

Deloris Edna Gaskin, 55, 200 Montgomery ST, Columbia, KY, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008, at 3:12pmCT, at UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at 11amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Keith the officiating clergy.



She was born December 30, 1952, the daughter of the late Ernest Corbin and Delphia Keith Corbin, Columbia, KY, who survives.

She is further survived by the following:
  • Survived by two daughters: Hope Freeman and her husband Frank, and Shannon Duggins, all of Bowling Green, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Amber Grossage; Paige, Franklin, and Riley Freeman; and Darby Duncan

  • Two nephews: Shane Montgomery and his wife Jessica, and Keving Montgomery and his wife Kelly

  • Two great nieces: Dakota and Sarah Montgomery

  • Two great nephews: Kenny and Zakkry Montgomery

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Montgomery.

She attended the Rowena Church and Higher Praise Church and worked at Spectrum Care Academy on KY 55 North, Columbia, KY.

Interment will be in Moore Cemetery, Gradyville, KY.

Visitation will be after 4:00pmCT on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the family funeral fund and may be made at the funeral home.
