LWC volleyball wins pair at Huntington Tournament

The Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team continued its winning ways today with a pair of wins at the Huntington (IN) University Tournament.

The Blue Raiders improve to 25-7 overall with wins over University of Michigan-Dearborn and host Huntington. The wins help the Blue Raiders to a 3-0 record in the shortened tournament after a team had to pull out on Friday.



Lindsey Wilson won today's opener 25-19, 25-15, 14-25, 25-20 over Michigan-Dearborn. The Blue Raiders concluded the tournament with a 25-17, 29-27, 22-25, 25-16 win over Huntington.

With the wins, Lindsey Wilson matches the 2004 team with 25 wins, second most in the program's history. The 1999 team won 33 matches.

Lindsey Wilson extends its winning streak to nine matches, just three away from tying the program's record.Lindsey Wilson volleyball will be in action next at 7pmCT on Monday, November 3, 2008, as the Blue Raiders host Midway (KY) College in the season's home finale at Biggers Sports Center.
