By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director

UPLAND, IN -- Junior guard Sierra Rambert scored 21 points in her Lindsey Wilson College debut to lead the Blue Raiders to a 70-59 win over Madonna (Mich.) University on Friday night at the Taylor (IN) University Classic.

Rambert led three Blue Raiders in double figures as Lindsey Wilson wins its season opener. The Philadelphia native made 8-of-19 shots, grabbed six rebounds and handed out four assists in the win.

Senior guard Ewa Bukowska scored a career-high 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-6 from beyond the three-point arc. Sophomore center Viktoria Krell added 13 points and six rebounds.

Lindsey Wilson used an 11-0 run to open the second half to turn a 36-34 halftime deficit into a 45-36 lead five minutes into the half. The Blue Raiders extended their lead to 18 points (57-39) midway through the second period and coasted to the 70-59 win.

The Blue Raiders finished shooting 46.7 percent (28-of-60) from the field, including six for 11 (54.5 percent) from deep. While the Lindsey Wilson offense enjoyed a productive night, the Blue Raider defense shined.
