A PERFECT EVENING: Soccer stadium renamed; both teams win

Lindsey Wilson College officially names Walter S. Reuling Stadium to honor former president. Both of LWC's No. 1 in the Nation soccer teams win
With four photos

By Duane Bonifer

The Lindsey Wilson College community officially renamed the college's soccer stadium in honor of the late Walter S. Reuling on Wednesday night. Between the women's and men's soccer games against Georgetown (KY) College, the stadium was officially renamed Walter S. Reuling Stadium.

Reuling served as Lindsey Wilson's seventh president from 1997-98 after serving as the college's first provost and dean of the faculty from 1992-97. The soccer stadium was built during his presidency, and Reuling was an avid soccer fan during his six years at the college. He died in March 2007.

To cap the evening off, the Blue Raiders' top-ranked women's and men's soccer teams both won--the women won 6-0 and the men won 3-2.
