Running with Blue Raiders for kids November 8, 2008 By Randy Burns Lindsey Wilson College, as part of its 2008 Homecoming festivities, will host the Running with the Blue Raiders, a 5,000-kilometer run/walk on Saturday, November 8, 2008. Registration will begin at 7:30amCT in the Academic Success Center (next to soccer stadium parking lot); the race will begin at 8:00amCT. The race is hosted by the LWC ACES Club and the LWC Intramural Office. Participants can register to compete as either a runner or walker. Medals will be awarded to winners of various categories. Registration fee for the race is $12, and participants will receive a race t-shirt. The LWC Homecoming Kids Race will also be held on the morning of November 8. The race will feature a 7- to 11-year old "One Mile Kids Race." Trophies will be awarded to 1st Place Boy and 1st Place Girl. Medals will be awarded to all participants. There is no entry fee for the kid's race. A shorter distance race will be held for children under the age of 8. Ribbons will be presented to all who participate. The LWC ACES Club and the LWC Intramural Office are also the hosts of this race.
