Adair Band makes highest score at Regionals!

Defending Kentucky Overall Grand Champion is in Semi-Finals this Saturday at Brandenburg. Marching Indians one of only four bands to receive a Distinguished Rating; two of others under directorship of Adair County High Alumni

The Adair County High School Marching Band had the highest score at the Class AAA West Regional held at Warren East High School in Bowling Green this past Saturday, October 25, 2008.

Adair County was one of only four bands to receive a distinguished rating. Two of the other bands receiving distinguished ratings were LaRue County which is directed by Adair County High School alumnus Jaime Smith, and Russell County which is directed by Adair County High School alumnus, Andy Critz.



Adair County, along with the other seven top-scoring bands from Class AAA West will compete with the eight top scoring bands from the East in the State Semi-finals to be held at Meade County High School in Brandenburg, KY, this Saturday, November 1, 2008.

Class AAA Semi-Finals at Meade County start at 11:00am eastern time. Adair County performs at 2:45pmET. GeneralAdmission tickets to are $10 each.

Finals for all Classes (1A-5A) will be held at Papa Johns stadium at University of Louisville beginning with Class 1A at 6:00pm eastern time. Class AAA will start at 8:00pm eastern time. Tickets for Finals are $12 (reserved seats) and reserved premium seats are available at for $20 each. Finals tickets are available at the stadium. Gates will open at 5:00pm ET.
