Next exciting match for the LWC Women's Soccer Team is at LWC, 5:00pmCT, Wednesday, October 29, 2008. -CM By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director The No. 1-ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team used five second half goals to cruise to a 6-0 win Saturday, October 25, 2008, over Covenant (GA) College at Lindsey Wilson Park in Columbia, KY. The first goal of the night came off the head of sophomore midfielder Satsuki Kato in the eighth minute. Kato was set up beautifully on the cross by junior defender Bryndis Theodorsdottir. The game remained 1-0 at half. Lindsey Wilson took control in the second half recording 13 shots and scoring five goals. Sophomore forward Kimmia Parker netted a pair of goals at the 78th and 82nd minute marks. Parker now has 18 goals on the season and 33 goals in her career. The two goals tonight moved her into sole possession of 10th place on the all-time goals scored list. Kato added her second goal of the game in the 87th minute to give Lindsey Wilson the 6-0 advantage. Kato is second on the team in goals scored with 13, trailing only Parker. The Blue Raiders are now 13-1 on the season. Lindsey Wilson Women's Soccer returns to action at 5:00pmCT on Wednesday October 29, 2008, as the Blue Raiders host Georgetown (KY) College at Lindsey Wilson Park, Columbia, KY.
