Lindsey Wilson Soccer Men now ranked No. 2 in Nation! ColumbiaMagazine.com SPORTS Blue Raiders move up from No. 3 week before By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director The Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer team moved up one spot to No. 2 in the latest NAIA National Coaches' Poll released on Tuesday, October 7, 2008. Lindsey Wilson received 602 points after improving to 8-1 on the season with two wins last week. The University of Rio Grande (OH) received 622 points including all 22 first place votes to claim the top spot. Hannibal-LaGrange (MO) College rounded out the top three with 571 points. Lindsey Wilson rallied to defeat Indiana Wesleyan University 2-1 on Saturday with two second half goals, including a game winner by senior midfielder Nathaniel Jafta. The Blue Raiders rolled over Pikeville (KY) College 15-0 earlier in the week. Freshman forward Moses Aduny leads all scorers with 14 points, including a team high six goals. Freshman goalkeeper Michael Smith recorded his first collegiate win on Saturday saving four shots against Indiana Wesleyan. The NAIA National Coaches' Poll is voted on by the 22 conference, independent and unaffiliated group raters.
