Overcorrection a factor in Sunday afternoon crash

KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, POLICE REPORTS

A one-car injury crash occurred Sunday afternoon, October 5, 2008, at 3:15pmET in Washington County, KY. The accident is attributed to the driver overcorrecting after dropping off the shoulder of the road.



Matthew McBee, 23, Louisville, KY, was traveling west on Mackville Road in a 2003 Pontiac Vibe, when he dropped off the roadway, overcorrected, and struck a fence. McBee was not injured; nor was another passenger, Sarah McBee, 24, Louisville, KY. She was also belted.

A third passenger, Jonathan Davis, 27, Knoxville, TN, was treated and released at Springview Hospital in Lebanon, KY. He was belted at the time of the accident.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Fred Cornett of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY.
