Ronald McDonald Wish List event is Thurs., Oct. 2, 2008

Adair Countians will have a chance to help complete the Ronald McDonald House Charities Wish List tomorrow evening from 4:00pm to 7:00pmCT, Thursday, October 2, 2008 behind the Chamber Building, 201 Burkesville ST, Columbia, KY in the Chamber's Fortune Street parking lot.

Yes, the drop off is underway. Kathy at the Chamber office said that items are already being received. For those who can't come during the regular drop off, it's ok to bring items now. However, if possible, donors are asked to drop off items when plenty of help is on site.
Almost everyone here has either benefitted from the services of the Ronald McDonald Houses in Lexington or Louisville, or knows a family which has. This is a convenient way to kick in and help the charity.

Ronald McDonald House Charities trucks will be in the parking lot for the well-organized event.

Leaders of the event are asking that Adair Countians bring items from the list below:

Ronald McDonald House items pouring in

2008-10-02 - Chamber parking lot, Fortune Street, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener.
ELLEN ZORNES, foreground, and CHAMBER PRESIDENT DONNA STOTTS were organizing items already received at the Ronald McDonald Charities Wish List Drop Off event now underway behind the Chamber office on Fortune Street. They were being assisted by Randall Banks and Brian Caldwell, out of frame, with more help, including Pam Hancock, RMH local liason, on the way. The official start, 4:00pmCT, was still 45 minutes away when the photo was taken. A lot has come in already, but there's a long way to go to fill the orange semi-trailer van in the background. The event continues until 7:00pmCT, Thursday, October 2, 2008. Clicking Read More accesses Wish List.
