ACES students to receive dental screenings

Adair Elementary School 6th Grade Students will receive a dental screening and cleaning service on October 2, 2008. A DMD will take a look at the child's teeth, do a cleaning and provide parents with a report of her findings. This simple process will be pain free for the child and we will make sure that the child is comfortable with the entire process.

Students will also receive a free toothbrush and toothpaste. If a child has Medicaid or KCHIP there is no cost for the program. Others are asked to pay $10 per child to cover the cost of supplies.

The dentist providing the service is Dawn Allen, DMD, Cumberland Family Medical Center. If you would like for your child to participate, but are not able to pay, the Family Resource Center can help with the cost. We strongly encourage parents to take advantage of this dental service. Call Ms. Debbie Cowan at the Family Resource Center at (270) 384-9112 for more information.
