Bountiful Auction will be part of Day in the Garden By Barbara Armitage The Adair County Garden Club and 1st Realty will hold a "Bountiful Auction" as part of their gardening seminar "A Day in the Garden" with Chris Korrow on Saturday September 13, 2008, at 4:00pmCT, at Tucker's Station Farms. Garden Club members, friends and local sponsors have gathered together a harvest of gardening delights to be auctioned by 1st Realty to benefit the Adair County Garden Club. There will be gardening tools to help you prepare and maintain your gardens and plants to fill your beds with blooms and trees to shade your homes. Their will be treasures to delight the birds and creatures of the wood. You'll find gifts for the home to bring the beauty of gardening inside. Many of the items are one of a kind such as a hand painted Blue Bird house by local artist Jonny Dairs, a framed Happy Home cross stitch and fall wreaths. Gardeners have been plying their green thumbs and amazing talents and are sharing their harvest with you. We will have organic vegetables from CoView Farms, garden mums and ferns for your holiday decorations. This auction will be your only opportunity this year to bid on an extremely rare "Baseball Maple" only one will be available from Tucker's Station Farms this year. Remember to say "Thanks" for the downtown beautification Don't miss this opportunity to support the Adair County Garden Club and all the good work they do in our community. This is your chance to say thank you to some of the people responsible for the gorgeous flowers in our Downtown Square. Help them to continue to bring beauty to Adair County. Everyone is invited to join us in "A Day in the Garden" with Chris Korrow, Organic Gardner and Film Maker. Learn how to co-exist with nature in your garden, plant a fall vegetable garden, and how to prepare now for spring gardening. They'll be a video and discussion; a Bountiful Garden Auction, and enjoy lunch on the grounds. Please bring a covered dish and a lawn chair. Dress for gardening - bring your gloves.
