A Cumberland County resident has received a scholarship to attend Lindsey Wilson College.

White, the daughter of Hilda McCoy and Aaron White, is a 2008 graduate of Cumberland County High School. She is a freshman this fall at Lindsey Wilson.

Kimberly Renee White of Burkesville has received The First & Farmers National Bank-L.A. Miller Scholarship.

"I really like Lindsey Wilson because it's a very friendly place and there are a lot of great people there," she said.

A standout basketball player at Cumberland County, White is a member of this year's junior varsity women's basketball team at Lindsey Wilson.

"It speaks volumes about First and Farmers National Bank that it is committed to supporting higher-education opportunities for Cumberland County residents," said Lindsey Wilson Fund Director Brady Button. "Lindsey Wilson's mission is to serve the educational needs of Southcentral Kentucky, and we are pleased to have this partnership with First and Farmers National Bank."
