Letter: Samantha Frey's Forever wins kudos from SCC Visual Arts

Comment on seeing: Samantha Frey photo: Forever

To ColumbiaMagazine.comThis is one of the most beautiful pictures that I have seen on here so far. There have been many that have truly caught my breath but this is something that I would love to have framed and hanging on my wall.

The colors are contrasted perfectly. The wind appears to be blowing and the sky is brilliant with it's color and formation of the clouds. The old gray weathered barn setting asymmetrical in the photo sets it all off. Kudos to the photographer!

I am originally from Columbia and have now been living in Somerset for three years to be closer to my job. I work at Somerset Community College in the Visual Communication department, so I see hundreds of beautiful photos each year, but some of the ones that I find on Columbia Magazine have won my vote.

I never knew there were so many talented people residing in the hills and hollers of Adair county. Many thanks to Ed for displaying these fine works of art and for keeping this site up and going. It is a place that I visit often to stay updated and I always enjoy what is waiting for me when I click on this site.

s/Cindy Burton

Thanks for putting so well what so many of us felt on seeing the photograph. Her succinct caption was eloquent, too. -CM
