Driver arrested after vehicle hits pedestrian at Lily Creek ramp POLICE REPORTS An late night accident at Lily Creek Boat Ramp, 4 miles south of Jamestown, KY, resulted in an injury to a pedestrian and the arrest and jailing of the driver, who was backing a truck with a boat trailer attached. The accident occurred at 11:00pmCT, Friday night, August 22, 2008. Kenneth Bartrug, 25, Jamestown operating a 1997 Dodge Dakota , was attempting to back a boat trailer into the water. The trailer jackknifed, causing the trailer to leave the boat ramp on the right side, striking a pedestrian, Amber Reese, age 17, Russell Springs, KY. The impact caused an injury to her right arm.Ms. Reese was transported to Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY, by Russell County EMS. The Bartrug vehicle continued backwards and struck a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix which was parked approx 25' off the boat ramp. Mr. Bartrug was arrested at the scene by Russell Co Sheriff's Department and was charged with DUI and lodged in Russell County Jail.
