KSP warns of scam involving bogus prize checks

POLICE REPORTS

FBI is currently investigating following complaint by Campbellsville bank

From SGT Patrick Williams, KSP Post 15, Columbia, KYForcht Bank in Campbellsville, KY. has reported receiving calls fromout of state attempting to verify a check received from"Publisher's Clearing House."

Even though the checks have Forcht Bank'srouting number, the bank has advised these checks are not valid.



Persons receiving the checks are told to contact a presentative toprocess their claim and a number is provided.They are further told tosend money in order to complete the process.

The FBI has been notifiedby Forcht Bank and is currently investigating the complaint.
