Thanks to anonymous benefactor for helping Adair kids

Generous Texas resident sends check to help Adair parents who are having difficulty purchasing school supply list. Instructional supervisor respects request for anonymity, but publicly thanks this very generous person for this wonderful act of human kindness

To ColumbiaMagazine.com

I just wanted to say a very special thank you to a wonderful benefactor who has sent a monetary donation to help purchase school supplies for children in the Adair County school district. I was contacted by a person living in Texas who had read some of the comments from parents and guardians on your site about how school supply lists are somewhat expensive, especially for parents with more than one child in school.

This person was concerned some children might not get all the items on the list and wanted to help. A donation arrived in the district this week and supplies will be purchased by Family Resource personnel and distributed to students needing school items. At the request of the donor, the name is not being divulged, but I want to publicly thank this very generous person for this wonderful act of human kindness. It truly is a small world when someone living in Texas cares about the children in the Adair County school system.

s/Phyllis Curry, Instructional Supervisor, Adair County School District
