Injury accident at noon at junction KY 206, KY 70 junction POLICE REPORTS An injury accident occcured Monday afternoon, August 18, 2008, at 12:50pm, eight miles west of Liberty at the junction of KY 206 and KY 70. Ashley R. Wethington, 21, Liberty, KY, was operating a 1997 Cavalier westbound on KY 70 when she attempted to pass a 1999 Cavalier being operated by Javier Perez Mendez, 32, Liberty. Mendez attempted to turn left in to a parking lot. Wethington's vehicle struck Mendez's vehicle. Wethington, along with two passengers in her vehicle, Miranda Ferry, 23, Liberty, KY, and Hannah E. Wethington, 1, of Liberty, were all treated at the Caey County Hospital. Mendez refused treatment. All occupants were wearing seat belts. Hannah Wething was in a child restraint.
