Agriope also called writing spider Comments about Argiope spider spinning web To ColumbiaMagazine.com I have also heard this type called the "writing spider" because part of the web looks like cursive writing. I have wondered if this sort of spider inspired the "Charlotte's Web" story. s/Vonnie Kolbenschlag Thanks for the additional information about the beautiful creatures.
