Two injured in crash between Columbia, RS on LBN Pkwy

POLICE REPORTS

An injury accident occurred two miles west of Russell Springs, KY, between mile markers 51 and 52 on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway at 1:46pmCT, Friday, August 8, 2008.

Pamela C. Shoopman, 39, Stearns, KY, was eastbound in a 2000 Ford on the LBN Parkway, traveling at a high rate of speed, according to the Kentucky State Police, when she lost control ofher vehicle, struck the guardrail on the eastbound side, then crossed the median and struck the guardrail on the westbound side of the parkway



The driver and a passenger, Zachery Shoopman, 14, Stearns, were treated and released at Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY. Both occupants were belted.

The incident was investigated by Trooper Nathan Rhodes, Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY.
