Dog causes Columbia cyclist to crash POLICE REPORTS A Columbia, KY, motorcyclist was injured in an crash just past midnight this morning, at 12:15amET, Wednesday morning, August 6, 2008, on US 127 four miles north of Liberty, KY. William R. Vittitoe, 48, Columbia, KY, was operating a 1986 Kawasaki motorcycle, traveling south on US 127, when a dog crossed in front of him, causing him to strike the dog and then lose control o fhte motorcycle. The motorcycle crossed the northbound lane, coming to rest in a ditch. The operator was transported by EMS to Casey County HOspital for treatment of minor injuries. He was treated and released.
