Events for August and September updated EVENTS CM's Community Calendar has been updated. Recurring meetings have been added for both months. Any help updating (and correcting) the CM Community Calendar will be greatly appreciated. The CM Community EVENTS calendar includes dates for regular meetings of government units in Adair County, civic clubs, special church meetings and revivals, entertainment dates and times, and this year, a number of sports events are being integrated into the calendar, including Pinewood golf events and the Adair County High School Golf team and Adair County football team (received but not yet posted). Hourly listing daily: Events are listed on the calendar, and, on the day of the event, are usually posted in hourly order, in the events, briefly, segment of each Today feature on the front page of ColumbiaMagazine. The calendar is a product of support from hundreds of contributors. We depend on them for information. If you want your Event scheduled on the CM Community Events, please use any Contact/Submit button to reach us. Remember to check the submission to see that it answers Who, What, Why, Where, When and How questions. Help us by following format: We appreciate submissions which follow our format. Handbills, unless order as paid advertising, are generally not acceptable. Submissions are subject to editing and we do not guarantee that every submission will be posted. Contact information is required but is not posted if requested. But, any announcement which expresses an opinion or urges an action must be signed. Paid photos can draw attention to your event ColumbiaMagazine.com offers insertion of a photo with an event. There is a $19.95 charge for the photo, which can run for one week or more as an in-line picture, and indefinitely up to two months thereafter as a linked photo, one click away. We very much appreciate all paid photos, which help underwrite the increasng overhead of the site. A special thanks to those who request paid photo insertions. Websites wanting to join the CM Community EVENTS network to carry the events page as a live feed should contact the ColumbiaMagazine.com webmaster. -ED WAGGENER This story was posted on 2008-08-02 09:20:25
