Discovery in a Gradyville hedgerow: Wrens roost safely there With unforgettable Betsy Fausnaugh photo Betsy Fausnaugh made a great discovery this week, sending us a classic photo which all began with an ambitious plan to trim a hedgerow. In the process, she discovered a small family she couldn't disturb. "Sometimes the neatest things can be found right in front of usif we just slow down," she writes. "I was thinking about trimming up this hedge and then noticed how many little wrens roost in it's safety at night." Then she made the right decision, opting to leave well enough alone. "Guess I'll have one of the ugliest hedgerows on theoutside, with some of the most beautiful wonders on the inside."There is so much to gain by not doing work that ought not be done in the first place.
