Scenic Adair Co., KY: Blue Ridge Mtns. of Northern Columbia

2008-07-29 - Pelham Branch Road crossing Columbia Western Bypass - Photo By Chris Bennett.
Photographer Chris Bennett captured this beautiful scene appreciated by so many who pass by the reflecting lake on the Betty Helen Sapp farm at the Pelham Branch Road Crossing of the Colulmbia Western Bypass. The foggy trails crossing horizontally outline the course of Russell Creek. CRG writes, "This photo was taken at 8:15pm on July 22, 2008. There had been a little shower before the fog began to lift slowly out of the hills, but sadlymy camera just couldn't capture how beautiful it really was. I tried." Larry Smith Photo from the Past: Campbellsville, 1930s

2008-07-29 - Main Street, Campbellsville, KY - Photo By Larry Smith.
LARRY SMITH, news anchor of WHVE, The Wave 92.7 radio and South Central Kentucky Historian, found this wonderful photo. He writes, "This photo date back to the 30s. This was a down-town celebration and it's just another reminder that main street America was a place for social activity. The Downtown Campbellsville area still features many of the old buildings and right now most old buildings are being restored back to that 1800's look. Campbellsville's new justice center is just up the street on East Main Street and it's nearing completion, prompting a new surge of life on the Main Street."
