Recipes, stories needed for band history + trivia + recipe book Deadline is September 1, 2008. Book is first project for 2009 Macy's Day Parade fundraising By Doyle Lloyd This is a little reminder about our recipe/history book project. At our last booster meeting I found out that we're very short on recipes & stories. We need everyone's help to make this successful. Any additions would be greatly appreciated. As you probably know the Adair Band will be representing Kentucky in the 2009 Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. To get fundraising started, the boosters have decided to put together a recipe/Adair Band trivia & history book. We would like to involve students, parents, alumni, and alumni parents. We're asking you to submit recipes and/or stories or facts you would like to be included for use in the book. On your submissions, include information about yourself. For example, what instrument you played and the years you were involved, who your child was, etc. Mella Dee Allen has agreed to put the book together for us, so if you have anything you would like to add or questions, please e-mail it to her at inncolours@kih.net or you can take it directly to her at her business, Innovative Colours. We would like all entries to be submitted by September 1, 2008 so it can be ready in time for Christmas. Please forward this on to any other alumni or parents you think would like to contribute. Thanks for your help. This story was posted on 2008-07-23 11:39:10
