Obituary: Gary Wayne Troutman, 53, dies in Florida


Mr. Troutman was an Adair County native, a member of a large, respected Montpelier area family. A memorial service is planned for later in Columbia, KY.

Gary Wayne Troutman, 53, Tampa, FL, died Monday, July 21, 2008, at the Life Path Hospice Center in Tampa after an illness.

A native of Adair County, KY, he was a son of James Troutman and the late Hazel Troutman.

Besides his father, James Troutman, Columbia, KY, is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Stephanie Dykes, Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Steve Troutman, Jacksonville, FL; and Gene Troutman of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Nancy Hadley, Columbia, KY
  • Two grandchildren: Hannah and Abby Dykes

  • One nephew: Jamie Troutman
  • Two nieces: Angie Troutman and Tia Smith

  • Two great nephews: Blake Troutman and Evan Smith

  • Two great nieces: Megan and Emma Troutman

  • Several aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
Cremation has been chosen and a memorial service will be held later in Columbia, KY.
