Pilot airlifted to Louisville after plane crashes in Green Co., KY

POLICE REPORTS

KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, investigates accident

The pilot of a single engine fixed wing aircraft which crashed Saturday, July 19, 2008, was airlifted to a Louisville Hospital for treatment of injuries after first being transported to Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY.

The Kentucky State Police at Columbia Post 15 responded to the scene after being notified at approximately 1:03pmCT on Saturday that an aircraft had crashed into a wooded area off Garnett Beams Road approximately five miles north of Greensburg, KY.



The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) were notified and the FAA responded to the crash scene.

The incident was investigated by Trooper David Long of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY.
