2nd Annual Wacky Quacky Duck Race

The date has been set for one of the great sports events on the Columbia calendar: The 2nd Annual Wacky Quacky Duck Race will be Monday, September 1, 2008, at 2:00pm on Russell Creek.

The race this year will have a grand prize of 2 nights stay at Holmes Bend Cabins on Green River Lake, and a second prize of a 32" Vizio Flat Screen Plasma HDTV.



Entry costs are as follows:
  • Single duck, $5.00
  • Quack pack, 6 ducks, $25.00
  • Big Quack Pack 12 ducks, $50.00
  • Flock of Ducks, 30 ducks, $100.00
The contest is sponsored in part of Holmes Bend Boat Dock and Wal-Mat of Columbia.

It is run under the auspices and authority of the Columbia Parks & Recreation Board, Charles Grimsley, Chairman; members David Herbst, Richard Phelps, Donna Shirley, and Greg Thomas.

Tickets can be purchased at Columbia City Hall, 116 Campbellsville ST, Columbia. or by completing the attached form and mailing it, with your check, to:

Additional forms may be printed out using the printer friendly button or picking up at Grimsley Jewelry, Thomas Photography, or any of the duck race sponsors. Duck numbers will be assigned as they are received.
