The Tree

2008-07-18 - Photo By Pen.
A lone tree remains along the Shelbyville bypass construction. "It's the same tree on the bypass that's been in my other photos," Pen wrote. "I don't know the species, unfortunately. But I couldn't pass up that sky full of clouds. I wish I'd nailed the focus a little better on it -- the tree's slightly blurry." The photo is an unforgettable image, a majestic, almost defiant mood in the face of urban onslaught. Flickr. A July 18, 2008, Today's Picture Album photo
