Obituary, Danny Gadberry, 62, dies in Indiana

Mr. Gadberry was a member of a respected Adair County family. He spent much of his career in Adair trucking industry, working for several prominent local firms over a number of years

Danny Gadberry, age 62, of 507 Campbellsville St. Columbia, KY, passed away, Thursday, July 10, in Hobart, Indiana, after a short illness.

Mr. Gadberry was born, November 17, 1945, in the Gradyville/Bliss community, in Adair County, KY.



He was the son of the late James Butler and Idell Wheeler Gadberry, of Columbia, KY.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Annabell Gadberry, Jeannie Washington; and one brother, J.B Gadberry.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son and daughter-in- law: Daniel and Betty Gadberry, Glensfork, KY

  • Two grandsons: Hunter and Kodie Gadberry

  • His former wife: Ann Murphy, also of Glensfork

  • Two brothers: Gobel Gadberry and his wife Sue, of Hickory Hills, IL; and Robert Gadberry and his wife Cheryl, of Hobart, IN

  • One sister: Nancy Gadberry, of Missouri

  • And several nieces, nephews, and an Aunt, along with many friends that will miss him
Danny drove trucks for Joe Russell Barbee, Joe Pyles and Bobby Smith in the Columbia area, for many years.

Cremation, in Hobart, IN, was chosen.

His cremains will be sent back to Columbia, KY.

A memorial service in Adair County, may be announced for a later date.
