Obituary: Kenneth Wheeler, 77, US Army veteran, Korea

Mr. Wheeler was a Korean Conflict veteran, a farmer, and a member of a highly respected Antioch community mercantile family. He had retired from DeLaval before joining Don Franklin Ford

Kenneth Wheeler, 77, Columbia, KY, died Thursday, July 10, 2008, at 10:18pmCT at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be Sunday, July 13, 2008, at 2:00pm, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, with Rev. John Blakely officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Liberty Road, Columbia, KY.



He was the son of the late Gordon and Gladys Akin Wheeler, a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was retired from TransAmerical DeLaval. After retirement he worked at Don Franklin Ford and was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Gosser Wheeler on March 3, 2001.

He is survived by cousins Jimmy Wheeler, Ramona Barbee, Susan Lynn Barbee, Sarah Espinosa and Barry Loy and a host of friends.

Visitation will be after 5:00pmCT, Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY.
