Stanley & Shirley Jones have sweet business at Kellyville

Stanley & Shirley Jones of the Kellyville Community, near Coburg, KY, have been in the honey bee business for the past eight years.

Since they are retired, it has become a hobby for the both of them.

Stanley takes care of the bees and the honey, while Shirley uses the wax from the bees to make candles.

Each year, depending on how much honey the bees produce, Stanley has jars of honey for sale, with and without the comb.

Last year, they produced 46 gallons of honey.

Stanley is hoping for another good year.

Shirley's candles are sold at the Kentucky State Fair at the Kentucky Honey Bee Assocation, of which they are members.
