Click Here to keep up with the growing "What's Cooking in Adair County" ADVERTISEMENT A brief report on the Courier-Journal.com reports work on Wolf Creek Dam was halted because of a concern over faster settling in an area of the earthen portion of the dam. See full report: "Corps of Engineers halts work on Wolf Creek dam" by James Bruggers at the CourierJournal.com. The work halt may at least a temporary ripple effect on employment here. Several of the workforce involved are residents of Adair County and much of the concrete for the project has been supplied by a local firm.
